Sadie Geneva and Others

An exquisite picture of Sadie Geneva and friends

sadiegenevaandfriends.jpg

We have just been informed (January 2010) that the woman on the left is NOT Josephine Howard. Sorry for the error.

This picture illustrates a rare and unusual trait of this Radford family. They lived in a log house, they were poor, they worked at hard and dirty farm labor (the brutality of which is almost unheard of in our time), but they took the time and spent the money to make beautiful, loving, pictures of their family and their children. This Radford family was truely unique.

We don't know the occasion that prompted this picture but it could have been a Temple session for this observant Mormon group?
